Good times for Sergino Dest. Last month the right back won the Concacaf Championship with the USA U20 team and secured a place at de FIFA U20 World Cup next year.
Now he has signed his first professional contract with Ajax, the club where he has been playing in the academy since 2012. Dest was born in the Netherlands to an American father and Dutch mother and has been playing for American national teams since 2017.
His contract with Ajax beings on 1 January 2019 and runs until mid 2021. Dest made his professional debut on 15 October this year with Jong Ajax, but is playing most of his games this season with Ajax U19. He aims for a first team debut this season, he tells on the club site.
